One of my goals has been to continue learning, growing, and improving with every generation. Rather than relying on marketing terms or simply following what others do, i strive to make decisions based on education, transparency, and the long-term well-being of the dogs in my program.

Every dog in my breeding program undergoes breed-specific DNA testing, and i am committed to sharing those results openly. I also participate in OFA health testing and believe in making health information publicly available whenever possible so families can make informed decisions.

All of our breeding dogs undergo health evaluations through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Founded in 1966, OFA is one of the most widely recognized canine health registries in North America and provides a public database where health screening results can be verified by anyone.
​
Unlike DNA testing, OFA evaluations assess a dog's physical health through examinations performed by licensed vets and specialists. These screenings may include cardiac evaluations, eye examininations, patella evaluations, hip evaluations and other health assessments.

One of the reasons we value OFA testing is transparency. When results are submitted to the OFA database, they become publicly accessible, allowing prospective families and fellow breeders to independently verify health screening information rather than relying solely on claims or private records.

It is important to understand that no health test can guarantee a dog will never develop a health condition. Instead, health testing provides valuable information that helps breeders make informed decisions and allows puppy buyers to better understand the health background of their puppy's parents.

As a new breeder, i believe growth comes from learning, asking questions, studying pedigrees, reviewing health data, and making thoughtful decisions with each generation.

One of my core principles is that i will never intentionally breed a DNA carrier to another DNA carrier, and i will never breed a dog whose genetic status is unknown or untested. Health testing is not something i view as optional- it is a responsibility. Understanding the genetics behind each dog allows me to make informed breeding decisions and reduce the risk of producing preventable inherited diseases.
